CHARACTERISTICS
Color: The body is silver with quite marked dark vertical bands, 7 visible bands in juveniles, which become 4 in adults. The background coloration is from greenish gray to olive green, with a very shiny silver appearance. The upper part of the fish may have brown spots, and there is also a black dot on the flanks. It may also have red dots. It has several thick bands on the sides. The most visible and marked of them runs from the end of the dorsal fin to the end of the anal fin. Size: 22 cm
